A Replatform and Rename

I neglect my personal websites sometimes, but I don’t think that is a problem unique to myself. If this visit is your first time back here in a while, you may have come from WRMilling.com, W4C.BE, or WinstonMilling.dev (all of which now redirect to different portions of this site). Running specific domains for differing purposes and audiences is not a bad thing, but I don’t think my limited online presence necessitates it. Therefore, my previous resume site, blog, and professional landing page are now all one in Winston.Milli.ng.

But that is just the rename part of the equation, replatforming is the other. I took the opportunity to upgrade my management infrastructure for the site by moving from raw html/css sites mixed with Hexo generated blogs to Hugo. I benefited from the fact that I only had to do some restructuring and “re-syntaxing” of my templates already made for Hexo, but Hugo has proven to be very versatile and easy to work with.

I make no guarantees on update frequency as my history has proven, but hopefully I can make something fun for myself out of this new rendition on my personal site. Plus, who wouldn’t want to be able to own their actual name as their domain name!
